YouTube in its infinite wisdom thought I might like to watch a video on a new build of a wooden sailboat. The boat is an Alden Malabar IV. The builder's goal is to have the boat race ready in 1927 to race against Tally Ho which was rebuilt and launched this summer. Tally Ho and a Malabar IV raced against each other in 1917 in the Fastnet, the builder is looking for a rematch. As a side note, it is interesting that both both boats are being (re)built by Brits. Tally Ho designed by a Brit was rebuilt in the US and the Malabar IV designed by an American is being built in Britain. Thought the Alden sailors would be interested in the project.
