I am going to install referigeration on my '88 Catalina 30 this summer. Which unit should I use? (Does anyone know the size of the icebox?) Do I need to add insulation to the ice box or is the factory setup good enough. The ice box lid appears to have 4" of foam on it. Thanks for the help. Hayden Watson S/V Papillon Spokane, WA

New system

You want to use the PB205-134 for this boat. It is the standard coldmachine with horizontal evaporator. If you can get more foam around the box in out of the way places then I would suggest you do it. Insulation is the key to having refrigeration without killing your batteries.
