I was practicing docking yesterday, and smacked the dock, head on. I am sure I will never forget which way to push the gears to move backwards again. However, now I am faced with a small problem. I need to fix my bow. I have duct taped the fiberglass so it doesn't get wet, and have an someone experienced doing the fiberglass work. I need to know where I can buy the black plate that the forestay screws into, or is there a metal replacement plate I could use to reinforce this weakened area? Thanks for your help. Bryan

Stainless strap down the front

Our '77 h27 has a 1/8" thick by 1" wide strip tied into the black aluminum piece and running about 15 inches down the front of the bow. It is secured by backed bolts, and seems a sensible strengthening and protection for the bow. David Lady Lillie
