Vanc Boat Show and the Hunter 40 shows well against the Jeaneau-Beneteaus and even against the Bavaria Vision 46 [400,000.00]
The Hunter had more warmth to the interior and excelled with the galley, nav station and 2 heads for that price point. The rear cabin was lower than I expected, but had a chair to read in that was comfortable. The bed had a bottom railing at the foot that acts as a hand hold. The guest cabin and head will impress your guests. The marble tops in the vanity are still there but the galley has quartz white tops. The Admiral didn't care for the sink style, a farmhouse dropped back 2 sink unit with a small shallow 2nd sink, white in colour. The show model did not have the hard bimini and looked great.
The window glazing of the cabin top was a little rough matching the curve and lining up with the other panels. A better eye on the grinder. The freeboard near the bow was large, and accentuated by the long window stripe. The end of the window in the bow is painted on, so you could white it out for a personalized look or colour. Really nice chines, just like the other guys, the vendee look. 250 and up.

New Dodger Material

One of the Beneteau models had a beautiful patterned material on the dodger, really impressive and worth a look.

The new B boat smell sure had a formica off-gas type overtone in these boats and it was the biggest disappointment for me. The design was beautiful, but the interior looked like laminate floor and photo wood.

The Bavaria interior was best in show, Vision 46.

Thanks Stretch.... Any more pics on the 40 would be most welcome!... I see they broke down and cut through the "eyebrow" Lexan for some side ventilation... didn't exist in Annapolis. That reading chair in the Aft cabin is new too... Did you think the fold down transom worked well? That was a change too... up a little to provide a step available even with it folded up.... Headroom in the Aft cabin seemed OK???

I thought headroom was fine for the size of boat, you don't notice an improvement until the 44-46 ft range. At 5-10 tall, I was comfortable in there.

Here are a couple more photos of the rear cabin, the Admiral [5-7ft] inspecting the cabin, and a shot of the mast, it wasn't tensioned and had a couple Swedish wobbles in it. [Selden] The main bathroom vanity.
