New Hunter 34 Owner

I am the proud owner of a 1983 Hunter 34, deep keel. Well, the survey is upcoming, but having spent hours looking the boat over, I'm confident all will go well. My second boat, my first Hunter.I'll be sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale, for now. Thanks for the responses and advice on this boat at this site!

i have just recently purchased a 1983 hunter and am thrilled by the quick response it has. I can turn it on a dime and it heads up wind beautifully. I have a slight problem with the floor under the ice box. how difficult will it be to remove and repair?? suggestions are welcome

Watch for soft spots

I have a 1987 Hunter 34 and found many soft spots that were Quit costly to repair but now the boat is like new. Watch what you pay for it, don't forget it is a 83. They are a great lite air boat and very fast I like mine alot. Andy

New Boat Owner II

I have just recently purchased a 1987 H34, and can't stand the wait until spring!This is my first at owning a sailboat, but took my time looking for that ultimate dream vessel. I spent a little over a year on the search, and waited for the right one to come along...or better yet, to stay on the market long enough. Most amazing part of the purchase process was taking a test sail in early November... of all places.... Lake Michigan. Had a beautiful day and enjoyed the short sail.Hats off to this website. It was a HUGE factor in "OUR" decision to buy a hunter.(I think my wife is more excited than I am, but won't admit it) The information, both positive and negative helped immensely. Advice- be a part of the survey. Not necessarily following the surveyor around, but being there gave me an opportunity to learn more about the boat.Fair Winds and Following Seas...

New 34

I have had a 34 for 12 years. Will be in Lauderdale in Feb. If I can help you with anything let me know - I would be glad to stop at your boat to give you the benefit of what I have learned about a Hunter 34
