Stainless standing rigging tension values are

available by E-mail from Hunter Marine. The values for my boat were supplied the same day. Starting from scratch with the mast removed would be an excellent time to buy a Loos tension gauge. The one that fits your size wire is about $48 and with it there is none of the guessing games use all to often. The boat will sail a heck of a lot better properly rigged and tensioned. The job is not hard nor technically overpowering. It took me about 4 hours to do my boat the first time and that was full of re-checks to be sure I did it right. Now it takes about an hour if I must re-adjust because of replacing a line somewhere in the system. It takes 15 minutes once a month to check the tension as part of my maintanance program. I have found 2 frayed wires since starting this plan and they were both spotted as a result of a low tension value. Ray S/V Speedy
