Hello everyone!! I just purchased my 1983 H34 and just love it so far. I seem to have a problem with my Jabsco manual toilet pump. It will only operate in the dry bowl mode. With the lever in wet bowl it does not draw any water in, it works just like it is in the dry position. Rather than rebuild this pump I am considering just purchasing a new one. Any thoughts on what is the most popular - Vacuflush, electric, or just back to a manual. Also are there marine toilets that have a larger seat more like the one in my bathroom at home ? thanks Travis

Replaced mine with a New manual Jabsco unit that fit in the exact same holes, on my 1989 322. It was almost the same price to by a new one as it was to replace just the pump. Good Luck

Replace, don't rebuild

However, you might check to make sure the intake seacock is open before doing anything. Whether to stick with manual or upgrade to electric is up to you. I wouldn't spend the money for a VacuFlush, when you can buy any one of several electric macerating toilets that offer all the same benefits for 1/2, even 1/3 the price.
