Welcome aboard. Our first boat was a 1977 8.7. I thought she sailed very, very well and with the Atomic 4, 30 hp inboard, we could easily do 7kts under power. That engine was so quiet I inadvertently started it several times when it was already running. Roomy, lots of headroom, sturdy and I loved the wineglass stern. Have fun with her. Great boat.

PS I have about 4,000 hours in Sikorsky helos.

You'll look back. But only at your wake to see how fast you're going. Welcome to the club!

Ha!
I'm the senior quality guy on the S61T program.
The S61T is just a -3H pulled out of Davis, rebuilt, modified, and a glass cockpit added.
I see them every day :)
