new Garhauer davits

I finally got around to installing our new Garhaurer Davits and engine hoist...very happy with the quality and although I have not tested them yet everything looks like it will be very functional. I will try to get better photos this weekend if anyone is interested. I am only using one cross brace (not shown in the photo) although I purchased a second one just in case, we also have the stern pulpit rail supports going from the top rail to the transom.

Thanks Scott. I'd be very interested in pictures showing more of your install detail. I have a similar looking hoist that I kept from my old boat that I want to put on my 310. It's made by Forespar I think.

Triangulate for stability. My Solar panels are now attached on top.

Good idea, most of the time our cross braces will be removed and the davit arms folded in. I guess my next job is to inflate the dink, hang it on the back of Rummerful and give everything a good test going out Ponce inlet on a windy day.

I went with Martek davits with a solar panel on top. We love the whole system.
