My deepest condolences.Ain't that been the story of my whole life.
NICE!Take your shop vac and blow about 25 feet of yarn into that tube then go look for the yarn where you can hear/feel the air escaping.
Is there any visible raised path to the radio console up on the ceiling? I recall some sort of tunnels going across the boat up there, but not sure about back to the spray hood…but that is where I would look.Ralph,
Got an electrician's fish tape ? Yes I do and an 8' fish pole. I also have nylon pull line.
Feed it through the piece of PVC until it won't go any further and stops. I did the fish pole and my bore scope today. The fish pole hits something on the other end not sure what. The bore scope appear to show a void.
Now please tell me you've got another removeable plate in your cabin ceiling where you can stick a mirror and flashlight in and see if you can find the piece of white cloth. It will lead you to where you want to run your wiring. It was late, I was cold and call it a day. I really did not feel like pulling the breaker panel out ot the over head and look.
I do have a plan B for pulling the wiring. I am hoping that I stumbled upon something.
Of course, a more direct route (as I did mine many years ago) is lead your three sensor signals directly to the gauge compartment as you've shown above and then run one single 12V wire through the PVC and up to the compartment and do your connections in there.Sounds like a good idea, sitting here in my armchair.
Thank you for all the great info.Of course, a more direct route (as I did mine many years ago) is lead your three sensor signals directly to the gauge compartment as you've shown above and then run one single 12V wire through the PVC and up to the compartment and do your connections in there.

What a great idea. If I dont not use it this time I will keep it in my toolbox.Take your shop vac and blow about 25 feet of yarn into that tube then go look for the yarn where you can hear/feel the air escaping.
Yes, there is a 3"x2" channel that runs down from the electrical compartment. The is a huge electrical junction box behind the false wall in the closet on the port side. I plan on using the one on the port or stbd drop to pick up the depth and speed sensors. Is there any visible raised path to the radio console up on the ceiling? I recall some sort of tunnels going across the boat up there, but not sure about back to the spray hood…but that is where I would look.

I think Crusty put those holes in the spray hood.Think positive. You now know where two pipes lead. I wonder. Were there working gauges in the holes before you began this project? If not perhaps the PO just got frustrated.
You know this is why every captain taking command of a Ship/boat always looks into every void or space before signing the paperwork taking on the responsibility for the ship/boat.
