Well, I had to get a new forestay made up today, and two new halyards while I was at it. $330.00 all together. It was a bit of a pain, I had to dis-assemble the roller furler foil to pass the new stay through, but it got done, and then restepped the mast. Phew, glad that's over and done with!! Tomorrow will be the last sail of the season down to Weymouth to get hauled out on Friday for the winter.
I can't wait to get started on the other projects now: reinstall tiller - (any body interested in an Edson wheel set-up? lotsa sanding and painting to do also, i have to remove and glass over an atenna that someone put right on the side deck forward of the cockpit ( what were they thinking!?)Service all the seacocks, move batteries out of galley area, find a stove, get a dodger made made, cushions upholstered, curtains........
