Need more detail! laminate what? engineered wood ranges from MDF board to OSB to plywood. Have you considered solid tree grown lumber?

Some species of wood are more stable than others but you aren't going to flood this. They have used wood floors in houses without problems. I have a walnut floor in the cabin on my Islander. For about ten thousand years they built boats with wood. Plywood has only been around as we know it for about a hundred years.

just remember all the eng wood solutions... need to be sealed. There are also synthetic solutions. I have seen some cool teak and holly sole solutions.
