I was able to use my cruising spinnaker for the first time last Saturday. Wow, that was about the coolest thing I have done in a long time. I just used the jib halyard. I was wondering if that's what others use or do you have a separate halyard for this sail? It would seem that if you have a furling jib, then the original halyard would be unused; is this correct? Thanks, Dave in Denver

Jib Halyard

The CDI furler does not use the jib halyard so it is available for a spinnaker. Most of the others use the halyard so you will need a second for a spinnaker.

Don't use the Jib Halyard because it's inside the forestay. A spinnaker flys outside the forestay. There is room on top of the mast to mount a pully for a spinnaker
