New eyebrow

The teak eyebrow on our 37c was gone in many places with the screws exposed and causing leaks. So, I removed the eyebrow and replaced it with tape to match the gray that I put on the hull last year. I'm sure new teak would look nicer but I like the tape and it will be less maintenance. Here are pictures showing before, after eyebrow was removed and holes taped until I could fill and sand, and after.

Same issue here Mary. Years ago I removed mine and replaced with PlasTeak. Didn't like that so I tried a black striping tape. Must have been a poor quality because it faded quickly. Nothing on there right now but I think I will paint one.

Another good thing about tape, fewer holes in boat. Paint would work too. I have plenty of tape left over in case I need to replace/repair it.

I do like the more subdued look of the gray as opposed to the harsher contrast against the white on newly varnished teak.

White also is an option.

Most have seen my more-than-a-few-times posted pictures of my boat's appearance with the eyebrows removed, all traces of their previous impact on the cabin gelcoat faired/filled, and then the gelcoat painted the same color (white) as the rest of cabin top.
