We want to replace our through hull transducer, which doesn't work, with an in hull model. We have a 1999 270. Does anyone know the best location for it. Where it is fiberglass, not reinforced?
Assuming you are talking about the Hunter 270 wing keel vs 260, anywhere forward where it is flat as you do not have the water ballast tank lid in the way.
If you want clean off gel coat to fiberglass surface by sanding smooth and then immerse transducer with build up around it using plumbers putty. @Kermit can explain better
