Hi Everyone,

I have been a sailboatowners.com member for a few years, I've been using the Oday Owners site for all of that time. I just sold my 1973 Oday-23 and upgraded to a 1984 C-27. The boat is in great shape but she's been landlocked for two seasons and I'm sure she will need some work. Restoring old fiberglass boats is a hobby of mine and I am chomping at the bit to tackling this project. I started on small motor boats, but sailing has gotten into my blood and now the only boats that like to work on are sailboats.

Well, I just wanted to introduce myself and I assure you that you will be hearing alot more from me. I've found that this site offers the best knowledge base in the world for the do-it-yourselfer like me.

Happy Sailing
BILL

welcome

Welcome Bill.
I checked out your page on your Oday 23. You do great work. I have only been into sailing for two years, but I've already been bitten by the bigger boat bug. I too am looking at a C-27. I love my C-22, but it just don't have the head room for weekend stays. I think you will find that Catalina makes a great boat.

Hi, Bill

Welcome aboard.

I also suggest, if you haven't yet, that you get familiar with the Catalina 27 Association Website and consider joining the C27 Association. Each association offers a wealth of boat boat-specific and general system knowledge hard to find elsewhere.

Nice work

Welcome Bill.
Your gonna love the 27. We moved up from a 22' Catalina 4 years ago, just as easy to sail as the 22.

The C27 is a great boat! Congrads! However, I dont think you will own it to long. Now thats a good thing...lol
I too started out with a 22 foot O'day, sailed it for 2 years, moved up to a Catalina 27, 1988 sailed it for 6 years and two years ago moved up to a 2002 Catalina 34 MKII. It never ends... This is good!!
Enjoy but keep an eye out for that next Catalina....
