How much negotiating room do you think the dealer has? For a car, I know it is about 15% and invoice prices are available. Are similar guidelines available for boats?Thanks,Bill
There is about 25-30% margin with powerboats, I would imagine that sailboats are similar. You should get the boat for about 15-20% below MSRP, depending on market conditions.You'll know when the price you offer is too low, when the dealer won't accept it. Anything within their 'range', they will eventually accept.Regards,Ted
