Space
RobThe difference is space and cost. Really, that's all unless there are features you specifically like yourself. The C25 is a great boat, and very different from the C250. The C250 is the one Herb Payson and his wife have and write about in Sail magazine, including a trip to your lake recently. The C28 is a wonderful boat, but IMHO overpriced, and maybe even too much of a boat for your lake sailing, unless you're looking to learn how to run a small ship. The C27, also different than the C270 is also a classic, probably one of the most cost effective boats around, although C25 owners wonder why people pay more for the extra 2 feet when it's only taken up by the aft lazarette or motor hole. The C270 is newer and lighter and more like the C250 with weight. The "problems" you talk about are only things based on the age of the boat and the treatment it received from its PO. Catalina makes a great boat, all around in all sizes. Good luck, and happy hunting.Stu
