Hi All, new 222 owner with a couple questions. Please be gentle.

Where on the boat might I find a number or ID plate?

There are deteriorated black rubber gaskets between the stanchion base plates and the deck. Are replacement gaskets available or should they be bedded instead?

Been lurking a couple days - This is a great resource!

Check the Stern of the boat for the ID numbers....up at the top near the tiller.

You can order replacement pads from the O'Day dealer At D & R Marine...go on line for their number....you can use the replacement pads in conjunction with perhaps some 4300 caulk...or just by themselves......they really work well by and large....Enjoy your boat,
Pat

On the 222, the number is on the transom - starboard to the motor mount. The number is imbedded in the gelcoat-- there is no "ID plate". The 222 is a fun boat- Hope you will have fun with it. Mich222
