We have just acquired the 949DD Challenger 38 which was waiting for us in a micro fjord in Brittany. Former Meridian of Greenwich, she is now called Mary-Lou. What a strange and at the same time fascinating boat. We are literally amazed. The interior is still in the style of the 60s. It's very vintage. No time to sail this summer but in any case the boat requires refreshments and updates. Delighted to be part of this forum and we will be happy to ask questions to expert owners as this is going to happen, that's for sure!

Wow! She is a beauty. According to our Alden record, she was finished at the Field yard in the UK. It's a very custom interior and looks well executed. Please continue to explore this forum. It has a lot of info on our boats.

Yes, the interior is quite special, it feels more like an old English pub than a boat. We will take great care to preserve this atmosphere... It is indeed a boat that was finished in the United Kingdom. I will know more in a few days with a complete file on her past. I started to explore the forum and I recovered some pictures of all Challenger 38 I could find, including of course "Christmas", a major aesthetic reference! Hi all,
Some news from the Mary-Lou for whom we remade a metal part under the mizzen mast (removed, in the photo) that was nicely corroded. It was necessary to redo some woodwork around it too. I am in the process of equipping her for the semi-offshore and her planned transfer in July 2025 between Lanildut and a small port near the port of Le Havre in France. I will send more news and photos at that time.
