The Admiral really likes the raised teak seats mounted on some of the Hunter aft rails. The '92 H27 does not have the bumpout in the aft corner that would allow the same type of seats to be installed. I've found an after market plastic fold down seat, but they don't look as good and the intrude on the cockpit. Is is it possible to replace the rail assemply or somehow modify it to add the teak seat?

...and then there's the wheel, new cushions, LED's, etc., etc., etc.

Looks like the admiral may be giving you a cue for a bigger boat. Fabricating a custom stern rail would be a rather expensive proposition.

Welcome to the forum!

I have the same boat and I had that same thought, but haven't found a good way to accomplish it yet.

Also make sure you add your info up on the H27 owners list http://sailingit.com/blog/hunter-27-owners-registration and check out the rest of the upgrades I've done to mine.... If you have pics of yours please post them!

Pockets aren't that deep

Thanks for the great advice. We're making the final decision on the H27 this weekend and the extra seats were on the wish list. Life is full of tradeoff's. I really enjoy this site so I will be adding my name to the list as soon as we take delivery of whatever, whenever.
