New 390 Owner

In the process of buying a 1989 Beneteau 390, any advice is appreciated!!

OK. 1) Find a trusted, knowledgeable buyer's broker, and listen to them. 2) Ask for service and maintenance records. 3) Shop carefully for a Surveyor, and expect to pay them well.

I've had a 390 for 9 years now and put quite a few miles on her. Mine had blisters, be sure to watch for these. The surveyor should be able to spot them easily. Also, I had to re-bed the large overhead ports, not a fun job but I did eventually find the right tools.
I have repaired, upgraded and replaced a number of systems on the boat, so let me know if you have any specific questions.

Thanks, really appreciate any info. Obviously you must really enjoy the boat enough to invest so much time and money. The boat I am getting has been sitting on the hard for about a year and half, and no blisters were found by the inspector, but the iron keel is peeling, so I am having new bottom painting done, before I launch again.

I've also heard that re-bed of the large over head ports seems to be a common repair. Did you rebed them with silicone. How difficult to remove in order to rebed? Any tips appreciated!
