I lot of folks paid between 35 and 50K for new 260's with all the bells and whistles. 66K seems in line with what other quality boats of this size cost. It really depends on the actual things that come standard with the boats. It's a shame that they abandoned the 260 and I think it is a mistake. But we won't have anything to compare it to until they come out with the 25.
I have been on the 27, and I wouldn't pay $66,000 for it. As I said before, if I had that much money to spend on a boat, I think I can find a much, much, nicer boat for that amount -- used, perhaps, but lightly so.
From the pics, it appears to have shorepower, a better galley, self tailing winches and a traveler in midcockpit just below seat level (wonder why no arch? that traveler looks like a trip hazard.) With a fixed keel and 9'-11" beam, this is not a trailersailor.
I'm currently taking instruction on an older H27.It is a shoal keel model. The traveler track is VERY short, and is "conveniently" located right on the companionway threshhold.It has a tiny one-lung diesel which yields about 3 knots WFO.This particular boat was converted to wheel helm, and as a result, you have to climb on the seats to get behind the wheel.The winches have the add-on top pulley groove, but are not really self-tailing.Under sail, we see a bit more than 5 knots.IMO, there is more boat available for $66K elsewhere.
