I'm and the very proud new owner of a 2000 H240 and have a couple of questions-
I just noticed today when I stepped the mast that the mast is not straight but angles back some 2-3" by the time you get to the mast head with most of the angle beyond the spreaders. Is that the way it's suppose to be or did I get masted? My other question are there any other 240 owners in Vt. or NH. that would be willing to talk sailing their 240 with me. Lee

Sesmith;

With the Hunter trailerables, there is no need to preset the mast bend before stepping as all is done in hands reach as this is only a set of single spreaders whereas on the larger B &R rigs with double spreader, some prebend has to be set in the mast before stepping. Once the douple spreader mast is up someone still has to go up and do a final tune. I have tuned trailerable Hunter masts over 2500 times minimum count.

With a new person, I do not mind talking with him based on my experience as a designeer and dealer just to help a fellow sailor. I have yet to hear from him anyway.
