Negotiating with dealer for a new boat

Thank you all for the council on the keel type. Any suggestions or comments on what to expect from a dealer when buying a new boat would be much appreciated. How far do they move off of their list price? Which options to get from the dealer vs the after market? Does a trade in help or hinder?Thanks again,Steve

Wait till after the Annapolis boat show. If I decide to move up I will offer to sell you a very nice 2001 model with all the extras already added - then you can use my number as a reference point when you talk to the dealer or ... you can buy my boat. Of course you can probably get a good reference number or two on Yachtworld also. Since this model has not changed since it's introduction there is no reason not to use the used vs new numbers in your decision making process. You always make a better deal when you have a reasonable alternative in your back pocket.
