Negative or isolated alternater ?!?!

I have bought an alternator Hitachi LR180-03, I tried to replace my old one, it didn't work, I brought it back to the dealer, he tested it and said it was working and showed it to me... effectively it was working ! The only thing I learned was that this one was isolated and probably my old one was negative.
The one I had, has a red wire to the battery connector, 2 black ones hook on the same terminal to a screw on the body, and finally the T connector.

Is it possible to hook on an isolated alternator to this system ?

Yes, just run a black wire from the alternator negative (ground) to your engine (ground).

Can I just run a bridge wire between the screw on the body to to negative post on the alternator's negative post ?
