We all have our dreams just as (Zeehag) Karen D has hers. Unfortunately, her sailboat was broken into and many of her things were stolen. She lives on Social security, so stashing funds has been a long slow process for her. Then to have them disappear in a few minutes was devastating for her. I'd like to help restore her faith in humanity. We are still waiting for her to list the missing items. A few sailors have stepped up and offered their spare parts and money to help her recover. They took her haulout money. Restoring her faith in humanity is one of the more important aspects of this new road Karen has been forced to navigate. I know she was waiting for a haul out date to do some maintenance and repairs. She was also looking to venture out of her harbor on a journey we all wish we could make.. Being a single woman on a fixed income, living aboard a sailboat can't be all that easy. Hopefully with the help of our family here at SBO she will be able to continue her voyage with a renewed understanding that sailors do indeed have compassion for one of their own in a time of need. We can all help her get going again, a little later than planned, but hopefully with a understand that compassion does exist among people. Restoring her faith is most important. Thank you all.
