need trailer

Hi

I just was gifted with an O-day 23 from a friend. It needs some work and I need to get it out of the water. I am in need of a trailer. I don't know what trailer or if it is possible to rent one. The boat is now in New Port News VA. Once I get it out of the water I have a place to work on it near by....anyone out there that can help direct me?

I would call a few boat hauling companies and get some prices. They can put it on stands for you, or maybe you can purchase your own stands. Sailboat stands are different from powerboat stands. They're angled, but they come in various heights for different size boats and different keels. You could also go out and buy a trailer for this boat. If you'd rather spend the money on a nice trailer, check out a Long Mfg dealer in your area. They have the specs for the O'Day 23 and can set you up with a trailer with adjustable bunks with 24" extension brackets. They're a nice trailer. I have a Long tandem aluminum trailer for my O'Day 222 and I love it.
