I live close to Berkeley California and the original trailer on my 1994 Macgregor 26S is rusted beyond repair. The factory no longer makes trailers, so there must be many of us in the same boat (so to speak). Does anyone know of a trailer fabrication shop in the Bay Area or a galvanized trailer that can be easily modified to suit?

Zieman Manufacturing company in Woodland, CA fabricates boat trailers and may be able to fabricate a new trailer for you. They also may be able to provide a galvanized trailer which would be the best solution for your application (I assume you sail on SF Bay and trailer the boat). Zieman Manufacturing is located at 1805 E. Beamer Street, Woodland, CA 95776 530/666-0383. I suggest Zieman as boat trailers are their business, however, if Zieman is unable to help you, send me an e-mail, I know an excellent metal fabricator who has the capability to construct a new trailer for you and uses a galvanizer that does good work regularly. I really like our Road King trailer
We replace our original steel trailer with a galvanized one from Road King, and have been very happy with the results. Fits well, trails better than the original, and doesn't rust. Jack
