I just purchased a 1980 Hunter 30-Classic and am in need of a stanchion. It looks as though it snapped off at the weld. Would anyone have one or any suggestions? Hunter says they are no longer avaiable. Also, the previous owner took the original set of dining table legs off!!! He replaced them with his own design which doesn't work well at all. when folding the table up it will not close all the way because the new legs are too thick. I need to know what the original set looked like and some measurements so that I can have some made!! I am a beginner and would appreciate any help from all of you experienced sailors out there!

Quick fix

I had a couple of snapped stancions and tried to get replacements without any luck. The base is not straight because of the toe-rail. I ended up bringing them to a welding shop and they repaired bith for about $75. Have worked fine for 2 years and look ok too.

Try "TIQ"..

Not familiar with your stanchion design but Tops-In-Quality seems to have quite a style inventory. http://www.topsinquality.com/
