Hello,
We have a 2002 356. Since the mast in on the saw horses this week-we would like to finally install spreader lights. Problem is where to get a pair and what is the best wattage? Don't want the landing lights variety that cancel out the Northern lights but just sufficient.
Any direction from all of you would be so much appreciated.

Why not simply replace the steaming light with a combination steaming/deck light. Some available as cheap as $30 and no major hassle to install.

I had thought about some inexpensive stainless LEDs used for underwater lighting in fountains, but I think they use a diffusing lens that might not work well for deck lighting. Some of them on ebay come with different color lights and a remote for changing colors. Might be kind of cool if they included a white light.

We've got a stand-alone halogen deck lite similar to Claude's post and it works fine. LEDs would use less power, but the light from some LEDs is hard to work under-it may be a very diffuse light.
