I have a white wire coming out of the top wire coupler on my Hunter . Its on the side of the Engine compartment. two couplers (Wiring) are there . A Large one on top and a smaller on below. Its a thick wire and white and hot. I don't know where it goes. Any Help.?? Thanks Bud

Really, this is the kind of thing that was installed differently by a dealer and then is often changed by prior owners, so I hesitate to assume that any of the wiring on my '77 h27 is "standard." Go ahead and trace the wires out - it's not that hard, and you will learn more about how your specific boat is wired. IMHO, anyway. David Lady Lillie

I agree with David. But I also know how difficult it is to trace those things. Is it "hot" with the battery switch off? The only continuously hot 12V wire that I know of is battery to battery switch. Then when the switch is on the wire to the starter and from there to the circuit breaker panel becomes hot. The only white wire on my H37C is from the start button to the solenoid. That one goes through a fuse on the back of the Yanmar. An exception, the wire to the bilge pump should be hot all of the time.
