I went from a 1982 Catalina 30 to my 1988 Hunter 33.5 and I am very happy about it! The 88-93 33.5 does not have the below deck furler as mentioned above. To took a little getting use to the fractioal rig vs the convetional rig of the CAT 30, but his is a fast boat for the money. I am tall and found this boat to have better cabin height 6'-4". You will hear some people talk about the motor being to small, 2 cyl 18HP, but for me its not an issue. I am on an inland lake. It will push the boat to hull speed as long as there is not too much head wind. Like a lot of Hunters watch out for compression post issues with the deck stepped mast. Other than that just normal sailboat stuff to watch out for after that. Good luck!!!
