My '71 22 did'nt come with it sliding Galley and I'm looking to build one. Does anyone have plans or good pix? I have a sink & stove and would like to build it in the next few weeks. I plan to stay on her a lot this summer and would like a galley on board.

Hey Frank, This isn't an answer to your question, but the first thing I did with my boat was to take the sliding galley out. It takes up way too much room that can be better used for additional storage. I spend a lot of time aboard, and a coleman stove and camping gear easily substitute for the galley. Plus, they are a lot lighter. Put your cooking stuff in a plastic laundry basket and leave it where the old slide galley was. Works just fine. Hope this helps. David

I agree with David

I bought a 74 cat last summer. It does not have a sliding galley either. As a cabinetmaker for twenty years, I was going to make a sliding galley myself but after thinking about it, I think I could use the storage space more than the galley. I am going to store my propane stove and cooking gear in a drawer that fits in the same space. I look at my boat as a floating tent, and the sliding galley space is, in my opinion, a sales gimmick more than anything else. Give me drawers that I can use for anything I want.

Thanks David & Vernon

I was to was going to use a Coleman stove. I also have a sink that would fit, But I would have more time to sail if I was'nt in the shop. I like the way Vernon looks at it. I made a sun shade w/ masquto netting that runs from the mast to the stern so it is a big floating tent when I'm in port. Thanks agene. Frank
