need shroud length for 83 27 hunter

hello, i recently purchased an 83 27 hunter. it is not a tall rig, and has a 1gm yanmar.

one of the shrouds poped out of the swag, its the starboard one that goes over the spreader. i have not gone up the mast yet to remove it, i would rather do one trip up to remove and replace. but i need a length for it, i will be have a swag on the top and a norseman on the bottom so a foot over is fine i can cut to fit at the boat

There were no factory short rig models for that year.

Yours may be quite possible one of the refits that have been done through the years. Factory specs won't help you so you may have to go aloof and get the actual measurements.

"the one that goes over the spreader" is called the 'cap shroud'. Others are called 'intermediate' for the second one down in a double spreader setup and 'lower' for the bottom shroud.

You may want to reconsider going aloft with one cap shroud missing. I would suggest you make fast one of your genoa halyards to the toerail on the side of the missing shroud. I would also suggest an inspection of the remaining rigging is in order most especially the headstay.
