I am new to sailing, haven't since I was a kid in Boy Scouts. I just bought an old 1973 ODay 20 and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get some info on how to set up it's rigging. Specifically as to relates to the boom. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Dave, I also just acquired an O'Day 20 earlier this year and had rigging questions. I purchased a rigging manual from Iheartodays.com. It was just a pamphlet, but it at least told me where each of the wires form the standing rigging went. As far as the boom is concerned, mine was missing a few parts and I had to find out the hard way (sailed without them initially) that I was missing them. If you could outline specific questions, I could help out more.

Abe, thanks alot for the reply. Well, I figured out how to get the mast up and boom attached and the mainsail up. But I can't figure out how to attach the end of the boom to the control lines. Right there on the cable about where I think it ought to attach is a somewhat triangular triple pully thing. I guess that it somehow attaches to that, but I just haven't figured out how just yet. I've figured out how to rig the jib and I think once I figure out the boom, I'll be ready to test it out on water. Thanks.
Dave.

Dave, Based on you description, I think that the "triangle triple pully thing" could be the triangular plate where the main sheet attaches to. Any sort of pictures or sketches would help. My O'Day is on a trailer, I will take pictures of the boom set-up the next time it is in the water and rigged.
