I just purchased a 1985 S2 11.0C and while there's a boatload (pun intended) of manuals on various components there's no owner's manual that explains the bones of the boat itself. Anyone have access to an owner's manual for the 11.0C? I imagine an owner's manual for the 11.0A might be helful if there's none for the C. What precipitated this search is that I have no idea what each of the shore power outlets is for. Also, I am trying to determine if the battery is being charged even with the AC breaker off when connected to shore power (and which outlet accomplishes that). As a starting point, if anyone has a clue I'd appreciate it.

Look in the manuals section of the s2 group on yahoo groups. I am pretty sure one is there

We have an original copy of the owners manual and could have a copy made for you if you would like to cover the cost of the copying and the mailiong of it to you. Where do you live.

@Twille - nothing there except a few pages of specs which BobM has shared. I'm looking for more of a "how this boat works" manual, perhaps with schematics. Something like an owners manual for a car.
Also, I'll be sailing the Chesapeake. Anyone else?

@Neilandsam - does your manual meet the above description? How many pages?

Sorry!

No such thing. Manuals of the day were a couple of dozen, often hand typed pages, with a few diagrams. We are luck to have some rudimentary diagrams of the plumbing in comparison to some, as well as an attempt at other things like standing rigging dimensions. But don't take everything as gospel. The 1977 9.2A manual in the knowledgebase lists impossible number for some of the running rigging. How a main halyard could possibly be under 80 feet for a 40 foot mast is beyond me. Perhaps it was before they ran the lines aft to the cockpit.
