I agree with Bill R. When I pump water without an accumulator, the pump cycles on and off really quickly causing the volt and amp meters, and lights to flicker wildly. I thought I'd add an accumulator and turn a bunch of small bursts of pumping action, into one longer one. Well, the one I have is so small that I might be getting one for two. On a friend's boat, the pump ran for about 15 to 20 seconds, was quiet, electrical draw was smooth, and kept great water pressure at all of the faucets. One bad thing about accumulators, if they start leaking as they did on my friend's boat, you end up loosing lots of water trying to get a little bit at the end. Ah, the pros and cons. Me personally, I think I'll look for a bigger one sometime soon, and find a better way to mount it so it's not heard.
