I too had my muffler fill up, like the article below. I discovered my anti siphon valve is broken. I am having trouble finding the exact same one to replace mine. I have a 85 C30. I did drain everything and no problems now, and I shut off fresh water. Any help locating a new valve? Thanks Dean

Antisiphon valve source

Dean, Checked my 1999 West Marine catalog, p. 441 under "vented loops". The Marelon one for 5/8" hose is the one used in my 1984 Cat 30. It is $20.49. There are others made of bronze by other manufacturers. They are also used to prevent siphoning water back into the marine head. West also sells just the cap replacement for $7. Try the other Catalina sources, it's a common, but very necessary item (engines are expensive).
