Oday 25 Lahaina
I lost this part which connects the boom to the mast. Rudy from D&R Marine gave me the name of this part which we can't find anywhere. If you have an O'Day 25 you can help me. We can make one of these but we need the measurements. Or if I could borrow it, I would make it worth your while to loan it to me. But at least the measurements so we could manufacture a new one would be terrific. Can you help? My O'Day is in Maui. If you help me we'll go sailing together there! You can call me at 808.280.5520. I am in California though now. Please call if you can help. My name is Ed. Thank you.

Take some pictures of the gooseneck and whatever is attached to your mast and post them on this thread.

Hi Trina,

I don't have the part so I can't post a photo of it. Here is the photo of the slide that it does in to.

Ed,
I'm assuming that that your O'Day 25 was built on the West Coast. O'Day used about four or five different spar manufacturers or suppliers back then and it's important that you find out what the make of your spar are.
Check out this site to see if you can identify your spars particularly your boom.

Try to get an accurate measurement on you boom. If worse comes to worse you may be able to change both of the extrusions and go with a different goose neck fitting altogether. I'm assuming also that the mast is set up for a tack down haul. Usually there is a jam cleat attached to the mast track just below the gooseneck fitting for this purpose.
My gooseneck fitting is riveted to my mast. I have no tack downhaul.

Good luck!
Joe
