Has anyone installed T-track on the leading edge of a Z-Spar mast (mine is on a h310)? I am attempting to add a track for a spinnaker pole car but the profile of the leading edge of the mast has a 3/4” wide by 3/16” deep recess. The track would mount within this recess but I don’t think there would be any clearance for the car as it wraps around the track. Should I be looking for a different type of track or maybe adding spacers under the standard T-track? What has worked for you?

Been there

I started my search in the archives but had no luck. Do you have a specific thread in mind? Key words?

Forespar will help you.....

Clayton: Last year I researched this subject and called Forespar, they send me a parts list for a Z-Spar mast. I don't have their phone number handy, but you can call West Marine/Boat US and they will give you the number number. Matias

Found the answer.

Thanks Matias. I had been to the Forespar site before without luck but thought that I would try again and I found the answer. They make a "T-track Insert" that fits the profile of the Z-Spar masts. It fills the groove and elevates the track to the proper level. It is Model AS-125 and lists for $14.80 per 4' section. The question of the day is what did Z-Spar have in mind. Do they have some proprietary track or are they just making our lives a bit more difficult?
