Trailer collapsed on the way to the lake, dropping our well loved Venture 24 on the highway. Swing keel and mast destroyed. We are retired and living in Oregon and would LOVE to save our boat. Insurance isnt enough to replace it, but they say they are likely to consider it totalled because They cant get parts for it (it is a 1970). Anyone have any suggestions?

It looks like you can find a used Mac 24 with a trailer for less than $3000 (just did a search or sailboatlistings.com). You wont be able to buy a trailer, mast and keel for $3000. Maybe buy another, see which one is in better shape and then move the hardware you want on to the surviving hull

Thank you all for your suggestions. Availability on the west coast is essential -- can't afford shipping or transporting a boat or parts across the country. Hoping to find a "donor" vessel we can use to repair ours. Will carefully examine the keel trunk. So far no signs of damage to the hull except some minor paint scratches.
