Need main sail Boom

Well, I finally got around to picking up the boom for Blackstar and it is pretty well shot.

Split down the middle and totaly water logged (it sat on ground, and in snow for 2 years).

I have new alum mast and was wondering if anyone has converted to alum boom?

Any place I can look for one?

Also this mast has never been installed or rigged to the boat, I have the orig mast head that fits it nicely.

Furling Boom

BTW, I am considering going with a furling Boom, (costly but nice option). Down side is I will night not be able to use the 8-9 sets of sail I have for the boat though.

I have a wood Hinckley B-40 boom in decent shape. Designed for roller furling. As you shorten it, you should be able to prepare it for your old fittings. Philadelphia.

Yes, though evenings this week are spoken for, not to mention the weekend; work progresses on Quetzal's water system (see subject post). I'll photog and measure for you.

I thought this site had a way to attach photos but I'm not seeing it this morning. Photos are in a separate email.

I wish you the best for continuing stewardship of Blackstar and new financial security!
