I need to know how the 12 volt marine battery I just bought can hook up to my fuse panel. The fuse panel is the original and seems a little shot so I'll probably buy a new one. However, when taking it off I didn't see any terminals or connections on the back of the fuse panel for the battery. Does the battery wire direct ie. pos & neg, to the panel or do I need a converter of some sort. All my wiring seems to be intact just can't figure out the fuse panel. Help.

Look near the Battery Box

Chris: Look near the battery box, there should be a red and a black wire hanging down from above. These wires then run over to the fuse panel from there. They have little rings on the ends that go onto the screw terminals of your battery. Make sure you get the polarity correct, or you could damage something electronic, like a VHF radio, or your stereo, etc. We never had much electronic stuff on our boat until recently, now it's beginning to look like a floating computer with a mast and sails. My kids seem to enjoy sailing it more that way, so that's the way it is. The battery is where this all starts. Aldo
