Caselton or Catskill Creek
At Caselton boat club right on the Hudson the have a very efficient hand operated crane you can use for $35. Moorings are $5/day and a great lunch is $5 also. If you have the skill, knowledge and help to do it yourself that's the place to do it. Usually a group of boater help eachother get it done one at a time. The marina is full of motorboats and they make a few bucks renting the crane to transients. I found them to be friendly there. The second choise if you choose to hire the job out is a few marinas on Catskill creek about 30 miles south of Albany on the west side. There a marina on the north side of the creek as you enter and then there's Hop-o-no's a quarter of a mile further up on the right. Both have nice equipment and seem to know what they are doing (they do it a lot) Barry s/v "PER DIEM too"
