I just bought an Oday 19 and I would like to know where I can get a manual. I also need to know where I can get a used Mast and Boom. The ones that came with my boat are, for the most part, hand made. Please help if you can.

Stuff

Keith - Used spars are hard to come by reliably because no one I know of colects on stocks them. On the other hand, many boat yards have piles of old stuff you may be able to adapt to work. Failing that, Dwyer Mast Company can help you. As far as manuals, try Rudy Nickerson - D & R Marine, Inc. 14 Water St. P.O. Used mast

Keith, I bought a 1974 Mariner 2+2 last year and it came with two masts and booms. Unfortunately, the best mast got knocked down and got bent about 5 degrees and crimped the channel where the sail lock fitings go. If I can rerig the second mast and boom successfully - still in progress, and no end in sight alas, I might be able to part with the damaged one, if that is any help. Not trying to unload unwanted goods, but, being new at all this, am amazed at the helpfulness of others and just trying to reciprocate. If not a help, no problem. Dave PS I was also thinking of, someday if I ever have any money, perhaps making the damaged mast into a folding one so I can go under some low bidges closer to home (Red Bank, NJ - actually, River Plaza, Middletown,NJ).

Keith, if you can use the mast and rigging from...

....a Mariner, check our www.urifoundation.org They accept donations and sell boats cheap to raise scholarship money. They have a Mariner on the lot for $2000. However, it has been there for over 2 yrs (as long as I have been visiting their site) and I know they will accept $500. Maybe less! Check it Out! It is right near your home port. Craig
