We purchased a used 2020 Beneteau Oceanis mid 2024. Our survey revealed some moisture near the hand rail along the deck on the starboard side. He recommended we rebed the rail. Any ideas how the headliners are removed to access the nuts for the hand rail? We have a head and the gally below that part of the deck.

Pics would help. On my '99 B411 the panels are screwed to the ceiling. There are white plastic screw caps near the far left or right side. After removing the first panel, more screws are revealed.

My hand rails are attached to the deck with self tapping wood screws. No access is required from inside cabin.

Mine also. I focused on answering the question and missed solving the issue. I have replugged numerous rail holes. Had a small leak this summer on my rail to interior and noticed 1) that the screws as described above were not sealed and 2) the caulking at the base of the rail was separating a d loose. On my list for spring.

Thanks everyone - I will get some pics next time I am at the boat and post. I will also look for the screws on the ceiling panels. I don't think I have self-tapping screws as the rail has no holes on top, but it is possible it is fastened to the main screws using small allen screws or other screws on the side.
