Just bought an 85 Catalina - the burners on the stove work fine - and the pilot lights for the oven - but the oven will not ignite. Have followed instructions - light burner to bleed air - turn off - light pilot - set oven to temp - pilot should glow brighter to warm thermo-coupler (does not) and then valve will open (does not). Cleaned pin hole in oven and retried several times - even warming the thermo-coupler with a long match - oven did not fire. Any suggestions?

CNG blues

A couple years ago, I had the same problem with my CNG stove. Ended up ordering new a new valve from the manufacturer. Works great now. Good luck! Steve

Same here

Had to order a new thermostat from Seaward for $99! Call Chico @ Seaward at (562) 699-7997 extension 218. Part number was 70401. What you describe is exactly what I was experiencing. Russ

How I fixed mine.

When I bought my C-30,I had the same problem. With mine, I found that the thermocouple in the oven ,wasn't over the flame from the pilot light.I moved the thermocouple directly over the flame and this solved it.To prove this, you can light the pilot then hold a long BBQ lighter under the TC. In a short time the oven should light but when you remove the flame it will go out.
