Need help translating Hull Identification Number on Coronado 15

Hello - Looking for some help decoding:

1. Manufacturer (Pretty confident it is Capri Sailboats)
2. Hull Serial Number (Pretty confident it is 01038)
3. Date of Manufacture ???
4. Model Year ???

I was expecting to find a 12 character HID, not 13.

Think this means it is a pre 1973 because of the non standardized HID number?

Any help is much appreciated!

You are correct that #2 is not a complete number. Coronado was part of Capri. Capri was taken over by Catalina. Where did you find that number? Did you look on the transom or starboard rear below the rub rail for any identification hull number?

Thanks for the reply Crazy Dave! This number was found on the starboard rear below the rub rail. Nothing on the transom.
I'm just wondering if there is any rhyme or reason to the way Capri scratched in this number to identify the year (like you can with modern HID numbers).

Who knows. Catalina use to do that too. At least you found the number
