Just purchased a Catalina 25ft. that needs the light bulbs on the mast replaced. Any easy way of doing this without having to drop the mast ??BNydish@aol.comThanks All
Nah, but seriously, couldn't you find a "small" friend to be pulled up the mast to do it? Just get a sturdy bosun's chair, attach two halyards to it (one is primary, the other is backup in case the first fails) & haul her up. LaDonna
I pesume you have already checked the fuse and deck connector and done a voltage check at the deck connector. There is often a problem with corrotion here. If you need a schematic or wire colors drop me an E mail I would be glad to help. One other tip-- when you replace the bulbs put some anti corrotion gel on the bulb base and socket to prevent having to re do your work in a few months. In addition you should be able to do a continuity check through the connector side common to the mast to tell if the bulb is bad prior to going aloft. dgyoung@foxinternet.net
